Tumours of the Nipple |
Among all diseases that might attack human body cancer is the deadliest. Except some of the most minor symptoms cancer is a disease which is almost impossible to fight. Any part of the human body may be effected by cancer, but in case women, the most common form of cancer is the breast cancer. Breast cancer accounts for a major percentage of death of women who suffer from cancer. Breast cancer occurs for various reasons and the growth of tumours of the nipple are the most common symptoms of breast cancer.
Speaking about tumours of the nipple it must be mentioned here that breast cancer is the ultimate result of the growth of different kinds of tumours. Some of the tumours, which are large in size grow and spread very fast inside the body and some of the tumours are small in size and effects slowly. Most of the tumours, specially those which are located just behind the nipple are the most malignant and deadly. But before mentioning about tumours of the nipple one must mention about two deadly tumours that effect the breast and the nipples. Fibroadenoma, which is an encapsulated benign tumor effects the breast largely. But Fibroadenoma tumors are rarely found right behind the nipples. In most cases fibroadenoma are found in the aroela of the breast and the tumors are mobile within the skin, muscles and the lymph node. But phyllodes tumours, the large size tumours that grow and spread very quickly are found behind the nipple.
But apart from that, tumours of the nipple that encourage the spread of breast cancer at a very fast pace are known as syringomatous adenoma and nipple adenoma. Syringomatous adenoma refers to the infiltration of subareolar neoplasm with small duct like structures. Syringomatous adenoma which is also known in other names like syringomatous carcinoma and syringomatous tumor of the nipple are generally found in the subcutis and dermis of the areola and the nipple. Syringomatous adenoma are compressed neoplasms and are comma-shaped. On the other hand, nipple adonema refers to an abnormal growth within the breast that consists of stromal and ductal growth beneath the nipple. Nipple adenoma is a growth that leads to ulceration and erosion of the skin of the nipple and often blood is discharged for continuous rubbing of the nipple. This is the reason why nipple adenoma is often mistaken as paget's disease of the nipple.
Paget's disease of the nipple is one of the most encouraging factors for breast cancer. Paget's disease of the breast, which is also known as paget's disease of the nipple is a condition of the nipple that appear like eczema or a fungal infection that leads to change in the color of the skin of the nipple and the breast. It is a very fatal symptom as far as breast cancer is concerned. When a person is effected by paget's disease in the nipple the nipple and the aroela become inflamed and the skin turns red. Eczema-like rash occurs leading to continuous itching which is the symptom of the growth of the nipple and it may turn downward. Sometimes women feel a burning sensation in the area and fluid leaks from some areas of the cells.
